From the moment I started recruiting with KPMG, I learned about their Global Internship Program and knew that this was something I wanted to do. The only problem - they only choose 25 students across all of their US offices to participate. I knew it was going to be a long shot, but I was ready to put in the work. After a year and a half of networking and interviewing, I was selected to be apart of the program! We were given a list of participating cities/offices to which I said I would happily go to any of them. So that's how I ended up in London, and it couldn't have been more perfect.
I fell in love with London - the city had so much to offer. There was always something to do whether that was a show on the West End or a stroll through one of the many parks in the city. I also loved the office and culture within the team I was working with.
It was also during this time that I was trying to figure out where I wanted to move after college. I was talking to some of the seniors at work about it, and one of them asked why I didn't just move to London. I hadn't honestly considered that as an option, despite loving the city so much. I started talking to the partners about this, and a few months later I had my offer to come back to London full time.
