My dad has done extensive genealogy research to trace our family back to Boxted in the 15th century. He had been in contact with historians living in Boxted who arranged for us to visit the home that the early Warners lived in. When my dad first built this into our itinerary for the week, I thought we would be out in the boonies of England. Little did I know, that this little farming village is home to expansive estates and stunning views. Boxted is a little town among the rolling hills and rivers of Essex, and it was so nice and peaceful. The historians we met were so welcoming and kind - they even invited us back for English tea. It was really cool to see an English village and even cooler that we got to see the land that my ancestors once lived on!
